The Names of Allah: Al-Hakam, Al-Haakim & Al-Hakeem – Part 18 (2 of 2) – Sunday 18th Rajab, 1434 (26th May, 2013)
The Wisdom of Allah in choosing the Prophet Muhammed (Salla-Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) to be the final Prophet –
1) Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala) told us that the Prophet (Salla-Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) is of the best character. In Surah Qalam Verse 4: “And verily, you (O Muhammad –sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) are on an exalted standard of character.” If Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala) praised him then this means that he is truly a great messenger. The choice of Allah for the Prophet indicates the wisdom of Allah.

The Names of Allah: Al-Hakam, Al-Haakim & Al-Hakeem – Part 18 (1 of 2) – Sunday 18th Rajab, 1434 (26th May, 2013)
Sahl ibn al-Hanzaliyyah (Radhia-Allaahu ‘anhu) said, “The Messenger of Allah (Salla-Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘No people gather together to remember (Allah) and then disperse, but it will be said to them, “Get up, you are forgiven.” [Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5507].
When people gather to study His Names and Attributes, this is a kind of remembering Allah. The Prophet (Salla-Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said, “Allah the Most High said, ‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I draw near to him an arm’s length; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.” [Sahih Al-Bukhari] Read the rest of this entry
The Pilgrimage to Makkah, Hajj:
During Hajj, Muslims from all over the world gather in one land, invoking One Lord. There is no distinction between people at that place. During Hajj, one forsakes wearing stitched clothes, especially the men who wear the same dress code, which consists of two pieces of cloth. This dress code resembles the shroud of dead, in order to remind them of death and to remind them that in this life we are on a journey that will end sooner or later with death, thus encouraging them to work hard for the hereafter. This kind of dress code is also a reminder of the insignificance of this life. Read the rest of this entry
Narrated Al-Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib (Radhia-Allaahu ‘anhu) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (Salla-Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) say: “Whoever is pleased with Allah as (his) Lord, and Islam as (his) religion, and Muhammad as (his) Prophet, then he has tasted the sweetness of faith.” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi , Book 40, Hadith 18]

Allah’s Wisdom in His Commands and Legislation (Legal laws)
Shaikh Abdur-Razzaq Al-Badr (Hafidhahullaah) in his book Fiqh-ul Asmaa’ wrote:
“The impact of Allah’s wisdom in His commands and laws is that He had ordained laws. He sent down books, scriptures and also Messengers to make His servants know Him and then to worship Him. Knowing Allah and worshiping Him is the noblest favour that Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala) bestows upon His creation.” Read the rest of this entry
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala) tells us in the Qur’aan that He is The All-Wise, the one who perfected everything that he created, the one to whom belongs the Absolute Knowledge and the one who puts everything in its right place. After Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala) tells us this He commands us to reflect in His creation in order for us to know Him and to see the impact of His wisdom hence enabling us to explain every event that happens around us. Allaah’s wisdom in His creation
Everything in the universe tells us that Allaah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala) didn’t create anything except with truth, in truth testifying to the truth, which means they testify that, ‘There is No deity worthy of worship except Allaah’. The truth that Allaah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala) is telling us, through His creation, is that He has Perfect Attributes in order for us to know Him, love Him, magnify (At- Ta’leel) Him, and deify Him (At- Tahleel). It was narrated that Abu Hurairah (Radhia-Allaahu ‘anhu) said:“The Messenger of Allaah (Salla-Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: ‘Allaah wills good for a person, He causes him to understand the religion.’” [Sunan Ibn Majah, Book of Sunnah, Hadith no 220, classified as Sahih By Albani (Rahimahullaah)]
The Religion of Islam is mainly based on the belief in Allaah, His names, and attributes. If one comprehends the religion it will mean he knows Allaah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala) by understanding His Names and Attributes that have been mentioned in the Qur’aan and Sunnah. The sign which indicates that our hearts are filled with the knowledge about Allaah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’aala) is when we are constantly pleased with Allaah’s actions. The one who knows Allaah when he or she goes through any calamity will not be upset as he knows the Attributes of His Lord. He knows that his Lord is The All-Wise, The Most kind, whereas the person who is ignorant will be the one who is unable to explain Allaah’s actions. He does not see any good in Allaah’s actions.
